A shocked housewife found a baby snake hiding inside a box of shoes she bought online.

Piayada Aumchaning was excited to try the pink high heels delivered through the post to her home in Bangkok, Thailand on October 30.

However the mum-of-one was terrified when she saw a wriggling creature inside so she rushed to the shop she ordered them from and showed the syunned staff what was inside.

Footage shows the sealed box being opened to reveal a small snake slithering on the sandals.

Housewife Piayada said: ‘I ordered the shoes online and I was so excited to wear them when they arrived.

But when I opened the box there was something inside. I sealed the parcel again and took it to the store where I bought them so the staff could see it for themselves.'

Piayada sealed the box with tape and called the shop explaining what happened. She later decided to return to the store with the box and showed what she was telling about.

She added: ‘I ordered shoes but they came with a snake. No thank you, I don't want that.

'I don't know what kind of snake it was, I didn't feel like looking at it closely. But thankfully it didn't bite me.

'This hasn't deterred me from online shopping for clothes.'

The snake was turned over to local wildlife rescuers while the store apologised to their customer for the inconvenience.
