This is a dramatic moment to save a motorcyclist from being buried by a landslide in Indonesia.

Footage filmed on Salawu street at Garut, West Java Province, on October 26, residents and police try to save a motorcyclist who was buried by a landslide.

The landslide material in the form of clumps of bamboo was removed one by one, until the victim's motorbike was successfully removed.

Then by using makeshift tools to cut bamboo and remove soil, residents managed to get the victim out safely.

When removed from the landslide, the victim was seen removing his helmet while walking accompanied by police. Residents and officers are happy to see the victim is okay.

Supriyanto Bondan, a SAR officer who went to the location, said that the victim was found buried by a landslide after residents heard the victim's voice asking for help.

"It was less than 10 minutes after the landslide, residents saw part of the victim's body on the waist until his head was buried by the landslide. Luckily he was wearing a helmet,” Bondan said.

Although his condition looks good, the victim was taken to a nearby hospital for examination and medical treatment.
