The vigilance of a platform guard helped save the life of a girl who slipped while boarding a train in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

The incident happened in Madan Mahal station in Jabalpur on October 30.

CCTV footage captured the incident where the Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable Govind Upreti, who was stationed on platform duty, jumped and pulled out the 16-year-old girl, later identified as Aradhana Marawi. She was travelling with her father Bhagwan Singh Marawi from Nainpur to Jabalpur when this incident happened.

Both father and daughter had got down the train at the station and this incident happened when the girl was trying to get back into the moving vehicle. The guard spotted the girl falling and jumped to save her, eventually bringing her to safety.
