This curious bear cub was seen ringing a bell at a Hindu temple in a village near Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.

CCTV footage captured on October 31 shared by a temple official shows a mother bear and her cubs entering the temple's grounds at around 9 pm.

One of the cubs is then seen standings on its hind legs to ring the bell.

Maranna, a priest at the temple, explained that the bell is very heavy and takes a large amount of effort even for humans to ring it.

Bears have visited the grounds before in search of food.

A curious bear cub rang a bell at a Hindu temple October 31 in Jeerigepalli village some 145 kilometers from Anantapur city in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

According to temple officials the cub and its mother entered the temple on October 31 at 9 pm. While the mother went looking for food, the bear rang the bell. Maranna, a temple priest said, the bell is very heavy and takes effort even for humans to ring.

But the bear got on its hindlegs and pulled the rope until the bell rang, he said. Bears have visited the temple in the past also looking for leftover of the food offered to devotees.

But this is the first time this curious incident has occurred he informed.
