Tallest Shiva statue in world unveiled in India's Rajasthan

The tallest Shiva statue in the world was unveiled on Saturday (October 29) in the town of Nathdwara, India's Rajasthan.

The 369-foot-tall statue "Viswas Swaroopam", which translates into "Statue of Belief", lies on the top of a hill and is visible from 20 kilometers away. It is believed to be the fourth tallest statue in the world.

3,000 tonnes of steel, 250,000 cubic tonnes of concrete, and 3,000 tonnes of iron were used for its construction which took 10 years to complete.

The statue is is built to last over 250 years.
