This is the heart-stopping moment a truck barreled over a highway divider while skidding uncontrollably across the road.

CCTV footage shows the vehicle running the red light at an intersection in Suphanburi province, Thailand, on October 28.

It nearly clipped another truck that avoided it by mere inches before swerving towards a group of cars on the opposite lane.

Several sedans backed up to avoid a collision as the truck then steered towards an empty section of the road.

It spilled its cargo onto the highway and finally ground to a stop on the shoulder.

The accident is believed to have been caused by faulty brakes.

Traffic cop Khun Sumeth said: 'No one was injured in this incident. The white sedan's driver asked me to check the CCTV cameras for footage.'

Local media reported that the intersection is notorious for fatal crashes, with drivers allegedly ignoring the stoplights.
