Park rangers pushed a wild elephant back to the forest after it chased drivers in Thailand

The male jumbo named Tiger stalled vehicles when it emerged from woodland onto a road running through the Khao Yai National Park in Nakhon Ratchasima province on October 29.

Panicked motorists then called local authorities before a ranger's truck arrived and guided the bull back to the jungle.

Footage shows Tiger walking across the path as officers chased him away. The creature appeared to be annoyed as the truck followed him but he eventually returned to its habitat.

Driver Mon Pimpimon said: 'Nobody was hurt from what happened but we were instructed to move away to avoid distracting the animal.'

Rangers continued patrolling the area in case the elephant returned.
