Beautiful pink-and-great Galahs (Eolophus roseicapilla) are one of Australia’s most widespread and common cockatoos. This mated pair of Galahs huddled together on a branch before moving to examine their nest hollow. The female had her head inside the hollow when she was bothered by a Honeybee. She snapped at the bee to drive it away, then her mate was molested by a bee. Feral Honeybees (Apis mellifera) are a major threat to wildlife that uses tree hollows for shelter or for nesting.
