A K-pop enthusiast was devastated after losing 3.4k USD worth of collectibles to tropical storm Nalgae in the Philippines.

Abbah Ahad, 35, broked down in tears her precious trove of photocards, CDs, magazines, and K-pop idol paraphernalia were drenched and ruined in floods on October 29.

Tropical Storm Nalgae had sent a torrent of water into her one-storey home in Santa Rosa, Laguna province, destroying the merchandise she had amassed over six years.

Speaking to local media, the fangirl said: 'I cried hard because I thought my collection was safe inside the enclosed Durabox plastic container. But everything was damaged. Nothing was left.

'For some, these are just albums, magazines, discs and papers but for me, this was happiness. Being an ARMY motivated me and kept my sanity through all the bad days and problems I had to deal with. Therefore, I wish everyone will just respect people's individuality.'

'ARMY' is the bizarre name that deranged fans of influential K-pop boy band BTS call themselves.

Footage shows Abbah retrieving muck-soaked polaroid cameras, photo albums, and her prized BTS Army Bomb lightstick from the plastic box, which had offered little protection against the flood.

She said: 'The water outside our house was at chest level. Inside, it reached my waist, and I'm 5'8". I still don't know how we can recover.'

Abbah added that she and her mother are still busy cleaning the muddy aftermath of the storm.

She said: 'Yes, our home was flooded, everything we had was destroyed and we are at our lowest point, but we are still thankful that me and my family are still safe.'

The Philippines' disaster management office said the death toll due to Tropical Storm Nalgae has climbed to 150. At least 128 were injured, while 36 are still missing as of November 2, the agency said.

Philippine president Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has placed severely affected regions under a state of calamity, expediting local governments' use of calamity funds.
