This is the dramatic moment a gas tank burst into flames after a market vendor forgot to shut the valve in a market in Thailand.

CCTV footage shows the sellers working at their stalls before the fuel cylinder erupted in a bright orange blaze in Yasothon province on October 30.

Other vendors scrambled to cover the tank with damp cloths before dousing the fire with an extinguisher.

The blaze began in a dried fish stall as its owner was closing up shop for the day.

The vendor, Puangpaka Saenwong, 52, said: 'I was done for the day and my daughter was taking the gas hose out from the tank then suddenly, the fire erupted.

'I was in shock. I didn't know what to do before the sellers from a nearby stall came to put out the fire with wet cloth and an extinguisher.

'I thought I had closed the valve. There was a lit charcoal stove close by too, so that was probably why the tank ignited so fast.'

It took about ten minutes before the fire was extinguished, and nobody was reported injured.
