A cat lover husband climbed a roof to save their stubborn kitten.

Mike Lorenzo Holgado was about to leave the house with his wife Princess Tolentino-Holgado when they saw the feline playing on the legge in Laguna province, the Philippines on October 30.

The protective pet owner was worried that the four-month-old kitten named Mayumi could slip down and hurt herself so he scaled the structure to take the cat.

Footage shows Mike balancing on the concrete ledge to reach the naughty cat.

Wife Princess said: ‘Our cat is stubborn. She went to the roof through a slightly opened window.'

While the husband struggled to reach the cat, Mayumi thought her owners were playing with her and rolled away.

Amused Princess added the cat ignored them but her husband insisted he should climb.

She said: ‘I told him maybe Mayumi can find her way down, she is still a cat. But my husband didn't want to take that chance and went to take her instead.'
