Hilarious footage shows how a stubborn pet dog tried and failed FOUR times to jump across a gap on a jetty.

Footage shows the black pooch named Prince standing on the concrete path next to the steel floating dock in Bangkok, Thailand on October 31.

However, each time that Prince tried to leap across he kept plunging into the water among the cluster of drifting water lilies.

Pet owner Bird Ruamrudee said: ‘We were feeding the wild catfish then our dog attempted to jump across the gap. He fell into the water the first time but he tried it again three more times.

‘Maybe he was distracted by the swimming creatures in the water. He is really stubborn.'

The defiant dog was unsuccessful in reaching the steel bridge, but Bird added he eventually forgotten the feat and went to play.

He said: ‘He quickly moved on and didn't take his failures too seriously.'
