A shopper in southern China captured the moment a damaged watermelon sprayed water continuously for several moments in a supermarket.

The video was filmed in the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province on October 31. A shopper named locally as Wang said the watermelon kept spraying water out for around 30 seconds before finally exploding.

According to a supermarket employee, tissue inside the watermelon had gone bad. After a period of fermentation, pressure in the watermelon built up, causing the water to spray out.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
