This is the emotional moment a man got the best birthday surprise ever when his wife revealed she was pregnant - after almost two years of struggling with infertility. Shan, 30, and Stuart, who asked for their surnames to be withheld, have been undergoing fertility treatment for 23 months. The couple, who have a three-year-old daughter, were desperate for another child, but suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage. But not to be discouraged, they decided to try one last IUI (Intrauterine insemination) before they began their IVF (In vitro fertilisation) treatments - their fifth attempt. And shortly after their final IUI treatment, Shan just knew she was pregnant. "I could just feel it, and I've been pregnant before, so I could tell," she said. Marketing professional Stuart's birthday was approaching, so stay-at-home mum Shan, a content creator, decided to keep it a secret until the big day. On the morning of June the 3rd, she hid in the guest bathroom where she had stowed a pregnancy test, and took it. Shan, from Seattle, Washington, USA, said: "Absolute terror was passing through my mind. After going through infertility, you can lose trust in your body. "It can be so hard opening your heart after having been through the darkest of the dark." But all the concerns vanished as the second line on the test appeared - and she rushed down to tell Stuart, resulting in the beautiful moment shown in the video. Shan added: "He was shocked, because I hadn't shared my gut feeling with him. It was very early, so he wasn't expecting me to have known by then. "Of course, we were also both overjoyed. Aside from preeclampsia, which we already knew about from before, he's as healthy as can be."
