Residents panicked after a leopard entered the town of Krishnarajanagara, India's Karnataka, on November 4, running wildly and attacking locals.

The footage shows the ferocious leopard trying to climb a building. After failing to do so, it runs towards the road and collides with a bike.

The video features images of the rider falling on the road, and the animal ramming into a man who falls to the ground before disappearing into the bushes.

Luckily, the forest department managed to capture and rescue the animal with the help of a big net.

Locals are in a state of panic after a leopard entered their residences in southern India's Karnataka.

The incident took place in Krishnarajanagara town in Mysore district on November 4.

Visuals showed the leopard trying to climb a building. After failing to do so it ran towards the road and collided with a bike. The rider fell on the road while the leopard ran away from the incident spot.

Further, the leopard rammed into a man nearby who fell to the ground. It then disappeared into the bushes.

In another visual, it is seen inside a cage.

The leopard was rescued by the forest department with the help of a big net.
