This footage was filmed and produced 5 November 2022.

Because of the repeated Turkish bombardment on the border villages between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey, many villages had to evacuate their residents.

The video shows the villages of Kesta and Jalki in Dohuk region almost completely empty of residents who complain about the repeated bombing, which prevents them from benefiting from their agricultural lands that they left neglected.

Residents of those areas demand an end to the Turkish bombing, which negatively affects the agricultural lands, some of which have been burned, and the effects of the bombing are clear.

Mulla Mustafa Ahmed, a resident of the border villages, said, "The agricultural reality this year is bad. There is no harvest and we cannot reach our orchards to get the crops. From the fourth month until now, we have not been able to water the orchards. All of them were destroyed and burned, no harvest, no pasture, and the animals died." Without fodder, it has become a disaster. Whenever we reach the orchards, Turkish planes bombard the pretext of the presence of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party.”

Seconed speaker /Obaid Muhammad/ kurdish speaking, he said "Since the beginning of spring until now, the residents of the villages of Haror, Jalki and Benavi Schalke are unable to go to their villages and water their farms. The fruits remain on the trees and no one can pick them because of the danger of going to them.. The residents of these villages cannot go to their farms, many people were injured as a result of bombing.

We, the residents of these villages, have no guilt. Why should we bear the consequences of these things?"

On Wednesday, Turkish warplanes bombed sites in Sidekan district of Erbil governorate, coinciding with Turkish bombing in Kani Masi district of Dohuk.

Turkish forces often carry out ground and air military operations in the border towns and villages in the Kurdistan Region, in which elements of the Kurdistan Workers Party are active, in conjunction with Iranian bombing of the same areas.

The bombing continues sporadically inside the Kurdistan Region, despite Baghdad's denunciations of violating Iraqi sovereignty.
