A scary visual has emerged of a leopard straying inside a house and lying on a kitchen slab in northern India's Rajasthan.

The incident took place in Mahaveer Nagar Colony of Kota city on November 5.

Visuals showed the leopard sitting on the floor of the house. In another visual, it was seen lying on the kitchen slab while its tail was on the gas stove. One of the Forest Department officials present at the incident spot put a cloth on its face with the help of a stick.

After long efforts by the Forest Department, the leopard was tranquilized and brought out of the house. It was later put inside a cage.

Because the leopard had an injury on its leg it was put in a biological park and is under treatment.

“The leopard was first seen near Shiv Jyoti Convent School and later in the Gangori Park area and Mahaveer Nagar Colony. The leopard attacked and injured four people and. A cow was also attacked by the leopard. The wild animal was later locked inside a kitchen by a couple after it entered their house,” police said.

“Later, a team from the forest department reached the spot and tried to tranquilise him. It took around six hours for the forest officials to tranquilise the leopard while he was sitting in the kitchen. The leopard was later shifted to Abhera Biological Park, while the injured were admitted to a hospital,” police added.
