A vlogger captured an unexpected surprise while he was exploring a city - a dog riding on the front of a motorboat.

Martin Bravo, 28, from France was recording a walk along the waterways when he noticed the pet pooch appearing to act as a lookout on the vessel in Bangkok, Thailand, on October 5.

Footage shows how the wooden longtail boat cruised round a bend in the canal with the loyal pet dog perched on in its nose.

The pet owner was manning the engine on the other end of the boat as the dumbfounded tourist stood to watch from the sidewalk.

Martin said in the opening of his video: ‘Bangkok is well-known to be the Southeast Asian Venice. It's a city full of what we call canal. In Thailand, it's called a 'klong'.'

The vlogger did a walking tour of the bridge next to the canal and saw locals and dogs along the way. However, just when his video tour was finished, the pet pooch on the tail boat passed by on the water.

Amused Martin said: ‘This happens only in Bangkok.'
