This is the dramatic moment a football stand with spectators in collapsed moments after kick-off in Thailand.

Nara United had just begun their match against Songkhla FC when the accident happened in Narathiwat province on Sunday afternoon, November 6.

Footage from the game shows how around 30 spectators plunged to the ground when the decades-old wooden structure suddenly gave way.

Supporters screamed as they dropped more than 10ft onto the grass below. Miraculously, none of them were seriously hurt and the game continued without the referee stopping play.

Onlooker Suchati, who was watching from the other side of the pitch, said: 'My heart stopped for a moment when I saw the stand slowly falling down. I was worried that the people would have bene badly hurt.'

The professional football team, which plays in the Thai League 3 Southern region, said online that they were investigating what caused the collapse.

A spokesman said: 'It's a mystery. Nobody knows why it fell down.'
