Mum reveals genius hack to unclog blocked toilet - by using washing up liquid
A mum had revealed a genius hack to unclog a blocked toilet - by using washing up liquid. Shauna Murphy, 33, tries to avoid using chemicals when cleaning her home and was thrilled when her brother, Richard, 38, suggested using washing up liquid to clear her clogged toilet. She explained all she needed was some dish soap - which most people have in their home - and to pour it into the toilet, let it sit for a few minutes, before flushing it away. Shauana, a stay at home mom, from Hertfordshire, said “I leave the washing up liquid for 30 seconds to a minute which gives it time to lubricate the pan so it easily removes the blockages. “I was really happy it worked. "Being a mum, I am always trying to find ways to clean without using many chemicals or making a big mess. "If I use a plunger, I never know where to keep it after and I don't want to deal with the dirty water after." Even those in the profession were amazed to hear about the clever hack. Shauna's video comments are full with people tagging others to share the miraculous hack, and even a professional drainer praised her saying: “I’ve been a drainage man for 18 years and I’m only just hearing about this.” Shauna also has a hack to keep her four-year-old Caprice’s toys organised by using drawstring bags to group the different objects.
