Elevator breaks down after worker uses glass to block doors in China
An elevator broke down after a worker used a piece of glass to block doors in central China.
Video filmed in the city of Yichang in Hubei Province on October 12 shows a worker placing a pane of glass to try to stop the elevator doors from closing.
However, the elevator did not detect the glass and closed.
The glass then shattered and the elevator reportedly broke down.
According to reports, the worker attempted to use the glass to block the doors so it was easier for him to move all the glass into the elevator.
After negotiating with the property management, the worker's company would pay for the damage to the elevator.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
