While quietly eating his lunch from a glass bowl, this I.T worker, Rhys Evans from Sydney Australia has a nasty surprise when the bowl explodes at his desk for no apparent reason.
This apparently is a fairly common phenomenon, but rare to capture on video. The explosion was captured by CCTV. A small amount of editing was undertaken to add the audio, and decrease the time delay of his colleague getting up.
Due to the nature of the tempering process which gives modern glass objects such as glass tables and glasses their strength, unfortunately they can explode due to hidden stresses at the most inexplicable of times.
