Supporters of the Fatah movement join a festival organised to pay homage to former political leader Yasser Arafat for his 18th death anniversary.

Footage shows crowds gathering on the streets of Ramallah.

Arafat, also known as Abu Ammar, is considered by Palestinians a revolutionary figure and a frontrunner in the fight against Israeli occupation.

In 1994, Arafat moved to Gaza, which was controlled by the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), the provisional entity created by the Oslo Accords. In the same year, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize fos his efforts "to create peace in the Middle East".

The footage was filmed on November 10.
