This is the scary moment several homes collapsed during torrential rain in Venezuela.

Buildings in the El Limon neighbourhood of Caracas City were battered by a storm on November 10 afternoon.

Runoff from an adjacent hill gushed into the houses, with the currents sweeping away chunks of wall.

Carlos Perez Ampueda, Deputy Minister for Risk Management, said: 'One person was injured and taken to a health centre. Additionally, firefighters preemptively evacuated homes in high-risk areas.'

Local media reported that the four-hour downpour had also caused the El Limon creek to overflow, causing the partial collapse of at least 20 homes in the area.
