Crazed biker seen waving hands while riding arrested by police in Thailand
A crazed biker who was seen waving his hands while riding has been arrested by police in Thailand.
Samranchai, 41, was spotted flapping his arms like a bird while travelling on his two-wheeler across a road in Nakhon Phanom province, Thailand, on November 6.
Footage shows the man in an orange shirt with both his hands off the handlebars and swaying his arms.
Authorities later saw the daredevil stunt recorded by a driver behind Samranchai and arrested him on November 8.
Police Colonel Sawaeng Konklong from the Tha Uthen district police station officer said: ‘We tracked where the motorcycle went. The bike on the video was the same as the one parked outside the man's house.'
Police Colonel Sawaeng added they also found methamphetamine in the man's house and was intoxicated with alcohol when they arrived.
The shirt and the motorcycle were seized as evidence. Aside from ten counts of traffic violations, the officer said they would charge Samranchai with possessing drugs, taking methamphetamine, and drinking and driving.
Police Colonel Sawaeng added: ‘We have filed the charges against him. He had been arrested several times for drug abuse and was sent to rehabilitation, but he refused to change.'
Samranchai, who works at a rubber plantation, was detained in the police station, reportedly drunk.
Speaking with the police, he reportedly admitted to taking two methamphetamine pills.
He said: ‘I took two methamphetamine pills bought from a friend for 50 baht each. I went home, and someone recorded me.'
The rider will remain in police custody during the investigation.
