Ominous funnel clouds form over island in the Philippines
This is the moment four ominous funnel clouds formed over an island in the Philippines.
The rare weather phenomenon was spotted hovering Caybane island in Samar province on November 2.
Fisherman Salie Managbanag said she was on her way to catch shrimp during low tide when she felt gusty winds blowing and noticed the unusual shapes materialise in the sky.
Footage shows four funnel clouds bringing stormy winds to the beautiful island.
Salie said: ‘I was alone when I saw the skies changing and then the strong wind blew. I forgot about the shrimp and ran back home after seeing the clouds.'
The superstitious local said the clouds felt like bad luck.
She said: ‘I know it's a sign of bad weather. For me, it was a sign of bad luck. It was definitely telling me that the seas were dangerous so I went home.'
The funnel clouds reportedly did not touch land and did not become tornadoes.
