Thai metalsmiths use recycled materials for plaques marking APEC 2022 summit
Metalsmiths have been using recycled materials to make plaques marking the APEC 2022 summit in Bangkok, Thailand, this week.
Footage shows craftsmen from the Lanna Artisans Art Gallery in Chiang Mai province as they use repoussage techniques to make traditional images on the sheet of reclaimed metal.
They will then be presented to representatives from different countries at the trade meeting which starts on Wednesday November 16.
Officials said that this year the annual junket will focus on 'restoring connectivity by resuming safe and seamless cross-border travel, reinvigorating tourism and the services sector, facilitating business mobility as well as increasing investment in health security'.
