An influencer couple with over half a million followers has gone viral for litter-picking – with people dubbing it the "boujiest" clean-up of all time.

Photographer Nikita Deft, 26, and model Kate Spai, 23, first met three years ago when they fell head over heels for each other, bonding over their passion for the environment.

Since then, they have taken it upon themselves to pick up harmful waste scattered across beaches and jungles in popular holiday spots like Koh Samui in Thailand, where they currently live.

The ecological duo first started the big clear-up, dubbing it 350key, back in 2021, sharing the process with their 517,000 TikTok followers in a series of viral videos that have since racked up over 50 million views.

"The ecological system is in complete imbalance right now," Kate told Jam Press.

"The environment is like a family home for humanity.

"If people do not take care of the house, the house begins to collapse, rot, leak, and may even fall.

"In 2021, when we moved to Koh Samui, we just started picking up trash from the beaches and the jungle.

"After each cleaning, we noticed how we began to feel incredibly good, it was a little strange but we loved it.

"After we removed tons of garbage from the jungle and beaches, we got the idea to launch a project to show people how cool it is and that everyone can do it and it's not a shame."

In one clip, which has been viewed 45.8 million times, Deft and Spai get to work on a beach that is littered with a sickening amount of rubbish.

The pair open up a bag ready to fill it with their findings, which include plastic carrier bags, water bottles, wrappers and even clothes.

Viewers have been saddened by their clean-up videos and rushed to the comments to praise the influencers for their work.

"THIS is what influencers should be influencing!," wrote one user. [sic]

"I'd love to do this but my OCD wouldn’t leave that beach till it was spotless," commented someone else.

"We need this to be a trend," wrote another user.

"These influencers are the standard," commented someone else, adding a heart and praying hands emojis.

Others cracked jokes about it being a very fancy beach clean-up.

"Your gonna tell me that your cleaning the beach in a blazer and slides ....," wrote one user. [sic]

"The boujiest beach cleanup I’ve ever seen lol," commented someone else. [sic]

"The most aesthetic beach clean up," said another user.

The couple shared some of their most shocking finds after removing “tons of garbage” from the jungle and beaches – including a turtle filled with plastic.

They said: “Before one garbage collection for the beach, we found a dead turtle. It was very strange, because one day before, we read a lot of information about turtles dying from plastic.

“Her armour was blown up and we don't know why. We tried to see if the turtle contained any sort of garbage inside in the form of plastic. This site was quite terrible. Wearing gloves after a while, we found many different pieces of plastic inside it.”

Elsewhere, they found plastic rubbish littered in the ocean and on the sand on beaches, which they describe as “slow poison” for the environment.

The couple is thrilled with the response from people online and hopes that their litter-picking will inspire others to take action – and soon.

Nikita and Kate added: "Our fear is that people, forgetting that the planet is our common home, do not care about it, and even worse, destroy it. And we are the only ones who do it.

"There are real problems with the environment and they are big, but this does not mean that we will all die soon.

“Our planet is like a human body. Wounds can heal, and processes can be restored. The various cycles in the ecological system allow the planet to breathe and clean up, but if we also keep doing pollution, then it will be difficult for the planet to cope with it.

"We still have time.

“Try putting away a plastic bottle and feel great.”
