This hardworking schoolboy works as a hairdresser at his mum's salon to earn his own money to buy Lego toys.

The diligent youngster Chayaphon Thawichai , 7, expertly snips and shaves his friends' hair as his mum Sirilak Thawichai, 31, watches over him in their shop in Chiang Rai province, Thailand, on October 27.

After working for a month and serving some 40 customers, Chayaphon has managed to save up 200 THB (5.35 USD / 4.67 GBP).

Proud mum-of-two Sirilak said: 'The reason I taught my son to cut hair is because I want him to spend his time wisely, not just glued to his phone all day.

'I also want him to learn the value of money and how difficult it is to earn.'

Sirilak added that she gives her son 5 Baht (0.13 USD / 0.12 GBP) per customer while he further hones his hairstyling skills.

Satisfied client AJ, Chayaphon's friend and neighbour, said: 'It's my second time having him cut my hair. Chayaphon is a great hairdresser and I recommend him to my other friends.'

Meanwhile, Chayaphon said he planned to continue hairdressing in the future, while also starting his own YouTube channel to show off his skills.
