This is the moment wildlife rescuers caught a huge 15ft-long python in a family's back garden in Thailand.

The serpent was found by a resident hiding among the dried leaves under a tree in their yard in Nakhon Pathom province on November 9.

However, when the rescuers arrived, the massive snake appeared to have been annoyed and fought them off.

Footage shows the aggressive snake lunging at a volunteer as the team worked to secure it in a sack.

Rescuer Sakulphat Redid said: ‘The snake tried to bite me several times and it almost did. It has not yet eaten and the residents were lucky they saw it on time because its size was dangerous.'
