A herd of curious sea lions encircled this couple kayaking off the coast of Rockingham, Australia, on November 8.

Footage shows the wild animals swimming up to the kayak and sniffing Tetyana, 35, and her husband Brice, 40.

The couple then take a dip in the water.

Tetyana said: "When I get to the water, first I met a baby sea lion who was just observing me with a 1-metre distance, but after - a big family of five came to play with me, which made me really scared.

"They were everywhere and approached me very very close so I couldn’t control the situation. They were absolutely not aggressive, just super curious but, I had an impression, that they looked strangely on my feet fingers. So I quickly get back to the kayak.

"A few hours after, we met a ranger who told us, that it can be possible that sea lions bite you, like they do it with each other, while playing.
It’s better to have flippers."
