Location: Shores of Arabian sea, Kanniyakumar, Tamilnadu South India.

Arabian sea water turned green all of a sudden and became stinky. Fishermen of the nearby area feared that the fishes may die due to this unknown phomenum .
Due to the depression formed in the sea the sea is seen a little rough and the waves hit more heights than usual. The waves can be seen green in color and also foamy. Due to this the fisherman gets worried for the small fishes as they may die.
Scientists say it may be because of "Notulica Scintillans, a green algae that is found in large numbers during September - October. It's the window period between the South west and North east monsoons. The favourable climatic conditions would have resulted in the sudden increase of the population."
