A magnitude 5.6 earthquake hit Cianjur, a town, and district in the West Java province of Indonesia, today (November 21).

The footage shows the situation in the town, with rubbles and children crying.

According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the quake was located at 6.84 latitude, 107.05 east longitude or 10 kilometers southwest of Cianjur Regency, West Java.

Local sources said that several houses have been damaged.

A resident of Kandangsapi Village named Munawar said to the filmer that "the roof tiles are falling".

Until now the aftershocks are still being felt by residents.

Based on information, the earthquake was on land and centered around the Gekbrong area, Cianjur.

As a result of the earthquake, several houses were damaged.

According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) via the Twitter account @infoBMKG, the earthquake was located at 6.84 latitude, 107.05 east longitude or 10 kilometers southwest of Cianjur Regency, West Java.

The earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometers and had no tsunami potential.

A resident via telephone connection revealed that several houses were damaged by the earthquake.

"The roof tiles of the residents' houses are falling," said Munawar, a resident in Kandangsapi Village, Pasir Hayam, Cianjur.
