Locals help England fan with Qatari style red-and-white Arab headdress at World Cup
Good-natured locals helped an England fan wear a red-and-white themed Arab headdress at the World Cup in Qatar.
The Qatari resident spotted the Brit with the St George's Cross-themed 'throbe' in Doha during the opening game on Sunday night, November 20.
He noticed that the football fan was wearing the red headdress incorrectly and stepped in to rearrange it using a black tie in the traditional style.
Onlooker Afnan Erzieqat said the fancy dress was taken in good spirit with locals proud that visitors were wearing their national clothes.
She said: 'The man was from England. We helped him to fix his clothes.'
