A brave neighbour rescued a 2-year-old girl hanging from a third-floor window of a residential building in eastern China.

Heroic video filmed in the city of Lianyungang in Jiangsu Province on November 19 shows a toddler dangling from a third-floor window as her head got trapped in between the security bars.

A man named Tao Yazhou was seen climbing out of his flat and walking along the canopies to approach the toddler.

He then attempted to push the girl back into the flat.

According to reports, the girl's father was quarantined somewhere and her mother went to collect groceries she ordered online.

The girl laid on the window to see if her mother was coming back and got herself trapped in the security bars.

Tao was wandering in the community and heard a girl crying. He then ran to the girl's neighbour's flat and called the police for help.

Tao held the girl up for more than five minutes until her mother reached home. They then worked together to bring the girl back to safety.

11月19日上午，江苏连云港市海州区千叶花园小区发生了惊险的一幕，一名2岁多的女童不慎把头卡到了4楼的防盗窗上，双脚悬空，危急时刻，附近的一位热心邻居及时发现，“飞檐走壁”挺身救人。托举了5分多钟后，女童妈妈回家上下一起用劲，将孩子成功解救了下来。
据了解，当时这名女童的头部卡在了防盗窗的底部，双脚悬空，随时都有掉下去的可能。就在这时，附近一名身穿蓝色上衣的男子，打开了隔壁单元的防盗窗，顺着只容下一只脚的墙壁边缘，一点一点地挪到女童的身边，用自己的双手和身体，托住了孩子。经了解，这位热心的邻居叫陶亚州，家住旁边的37号楼，是一家电力工程公司的工作人员。
“当时我下楼遛弯，正好听见隔壁一栋楼有一个小女孩在哭，就抬头望了一下，正好看到小女孩挂在阳台上，头卡住了。”陶亚州介绍，“我就一边跑一边报警，到了楼下我就喊了一句，谁家防盗窗可以打开，正好4楼她家隔壁的邻居防盗窗可以打开，我就顺着4楼防盗窗，爬到她家阳台下面，把小女孩托住了。”
最终，陶亚州在现场坚持了5分多钟，直到女童的妈妈回家，上下一起用劲，才将孩子成功解救了下来，至此，在场的所有人都松了一口气。
据介绍，小女孩两岁半了，爸爸隔离去了，妈妈在网上买了点菜。出门拿菜时，她趴在窗户上，看妈妈有没有回来，正好卡在防盗窗里面。陶亚州说：“后来她妈妈回来对我表示非常感谢，我觉得这是邻里之间的相互帮助，没有什么。”
