Pedestrian knocked into path of oncoming truck before man saves her like 'Final Destination' movie
This is the heart-stopping moment a grandmother was saved after being accidentally knocked into the path of an oncoming truck like a scene from a "Final Destination" movie.
The old woman was walking past a group of repairmen fixing signs on the pavement when one of the workers flung back the wires and hit her.
CCTV shows how the pedestrian lost her balance and stumbled under the front bumper of a large lorry, which did not stop moving and seemed to be about to crush her.
In a dramatic twist of fate, the same man who knocked her over then leaped in front of the truck and used super-human strength to hold up the vehicle and force it to stop.
Miraculously, the pensioner was saved and emerged unscathed from under the wheel. She stood up and walked away while being checked by the group of repairmen in Bulacan province, the Philippines on November 15.
Residents compared the incident to the movie Final Destination in which subtle circumstances in the environment lead to deadly accidents.
Resident Gene Gimena said: ‘We were shocked when it happened. It was like the Final Destination. We were just relieved nothing bad happened to her.'
Gene added the old woman was unhurt and the worker apologised to her afterward.
She said: 'It was like a miracle, she had no wounds or anything. It was like nothing happened.'
The workers helped her walk back to her home after the incident.
Gene added: ‘Everyone should be careful in the roads. You just don't know what would happen.'
