Qatari celebrity impressed by Japanese fans clearing away rubbish left at World Cup stadium
Japanese football fans touched hearts when they cleared away rubbish left in the stands during a game at the World Cup in Qatar.
Footage shows the fans picking up trash following the match between hosts Qatar and South American side Ecuador at the Al Bidda Park in Doha Sunday night.
They stayed behind following the final whistle and went row to row collecting bottles and food wrappers left behind by fans.
Speaking in the video, one fan says: "Japanese never leave rubbish behind us. We respect the place".
Famously-police and super-clean Japan was also praised in 2018 for cleaning up the stands in Russia after matches. They are now being praised for their kind actions in the Middle East.
Middle Eastern celebrity Omar Farooq is seen in the video talking with fans.
Filipino Overseas Foreign Worker (OFW) Roselle Angeli Espinosa recorded another video of the fans. She is living in Qatar and also working as a Fifa volunteer.
Roselle praised the atmosphere at the event. She said: "We know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose".
