A furious Chinese wife allegedly stabbed to death a pretty interpreter who was in a love triangle with her Russian husband.

Tang Jan, 36, hired Xiong Ziyi, 24, to help her communicate with her partner in Bangkok, Thailand.

However, she was incandescent with rage to find that the man was having an affair with the attractive business student.

The trio agreed to meet for lunch to discuss the situation but tempers flared when Xiong allegedly produced nudes taken on her smartphone of her and the Russian.

Witnesses said that Tang Jan pulled out a 6-inch long kitchen knife and stabbed the younger woman before chasing her into the toilet.

Horrified diners then allegedly heard the victim screaming for help while Tang Jan stabbed her a further 26 times across her body.

Police arrived at the Urban Square Shopping to find Tang Jan sitting outside covered in blood while waiting to be arrested.

Xiong Ziyi was discovered in a pool of blood in the toilets. She had no pulse and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tang Jan has now been detained to be questioned on suspicion of premeditated murder, carrying a knife in public and overstaying her visa.

Lieutenant colonel Anuchit Chatchulim said: 'At the scene in front of the women's toilet downstairs was found a pair of black shoes, a phone, a black top stained with blood.

'Upon entering the bathroom there were many blood stains and on the ground was the body of Miss Xiong Ziyi lying on her left side wearing a blue knit long-sleeved shirt.

'From the examination, it was found that the body had been stabbed with a knife at least 27 times. The victim's body was taken to hospital.

'The suspected perpetrator was sitting waiting to surrender herself with bloody hands outside. She was immediately taken to the police station.'

Officers said that the suspect faces life in prison if she is found guilty. She could also be deported to first to let authorities in China administer the punishment for the murder of her countryman.
