This is the dramatic moment hundreds of glass bottles shattered on a road after falling from a delivery truck in Thailand.

CCTV footage shows how dozens of crates carrying the empty containers toppled over as the 18-wheeler turned a curve at a junction along the Tiwanon Road in Nonthaburi province on November 18.

The canvas-covered cargo was seen tipping to the left before crashing onto the road, forcing a bus driving behind to stop in its tracks.

The truck driver Monthon Suksamran, 53, said: 'I was delivering the empty glass bottles from the Khlong Toei district to a company in Pathum Thani.

'When I reached the intersection and turned, the ropes holding the cargo in place snapped, causing the crates to fall.'

There were no reports of injuries or casualties.

However, the route had to be closed for more than two hours as local officials cleared away the sharp fragments.
