Hundreds of people gathered in front of a giant screen in Damascus, Syria, to watch the World Cup match Brazil vs Switzerland for free. The screen was installed in the Abu Rumaneh area. Other people interacted in cafes, filled with fans.

The attendees thanked those responsible for setting up this screen, as MTN Communications organized the event in cooperation with the Governorate of Damascus.

"The atmosphere is nice, we went out of our house, they told us that there is a gathering here in this place, we came and the atmosphere is very nice".

"I was in Homs a few days ago, we did not see a similar atmosphere, now there is a change from watching matches in cafes, the atmosphere is better here with people gathering".

" I came to support Brazil, the atmosphere is great, watching the game here is better than staying at home, and I advise everyone to come here, the atmosphere is very beautiful".

[2:14-2:34] Fifth speaker:
"I came to cheer for the Brazilian national team, which I love, something wow and cool. This is the first time that screens like this have been installed in the regions in Syria. The atmosphere is full of splendor. Thank you to everyone who worked on putting this screen up. We are very happy".
