An illuminated object was spotted above a city in northwestern China.

A mysterious video filmed in the city of Lanzhou in Gansu Province on November 27 shows a colourful object illuminating and changing its shape in the sky.

The second clip is the filmer recording his camera lens as they pointed towards the object.

According to a member of staff at Lanzhou Meteorological Bureau, they noticed it but could not identify the illuminated object. They are investigating it at the moment.

The video was provided by local media with permission.

对此，兰州气象局工作人员回应：已关注到情况，暂不能确定发光物体，正在调查。
资料显示，皋兰山西起龙尾山，东至老狼沟，形若蟠龙，东西环拱州城（兰州城），延袤二十余里，是兰州城区的屏障。
值得一提的是，前不久，甘肃省武威市民勤县一位摄影爱好者在野外意外拍摄到一硕大的不明飞行物，在空中划出了蝌蚪形状的奇观。
