A protective pet dog pushed a little boy back to their house as the toddler tried to chase after his daddy's car in China.

The Siberian Husky pooch was in the garage with the one-year-old youngster when the incident happened in Hunan province, on November 26.

The loyal dog listened to the father and son as the boy tried to come inside the car. However, the boy's father told him no, which led the responsible dog to pull the toddler away from the sedan.

CCTV footage shows the Husky pushing the boy so he does not run across the street to chase the car.

The dog kept tabs on the little boy while waiting for the car to drive off, then headed back inside together.

The owner, going by his nickname 'fly across sky', publicised the video on his Douyin social media account.
