Chinese doctor performs Heimlich manoeuvre to save boy choking on food
A doctor performed the Heimlich manoeuvre to save a boy choking on food in eastern China.
CCTV footage filmed in the city of Quzhou in Zhejiang Province on November 25 shows a woman named Lu running into a clinic with her choking 10-month-old son in her arms.
A doctor, named locally as Shu Qunfang, runs to the boy and places his head downwards and pats his back continuously.
The boy then cries. He eventually spits something out.
According to Lu, her son was eating on the back of her electric scooter when she turned round to discover that he could not move.
Lu later sent a message to thank Shu for saving her son.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
