How the Grinch got 28 million views within 36 hours
This Grinch from Newcastle in England’s northeast has a heart after all - here he is spreading joy to children by going on a ride at a winter wonderland in the city - and finding it rather scary.
The funny scene shows Dan dressed as the green Grinch - based on Jim Carrey's character in the 2000 movie "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" - hamming it up by entertaining the watching children and screaming his head off rather than seeking to ruin Christmas for all of the citizens of the town.
The clip got 28 million views within 36 hours of being posted to TikTok.
"This year Dan was performing as the Grinch at a Christmas market for a friend's charity," explains the filmer. "Once he was finished, he had to drop off some costumes for performers working at the Newcastle Winter Wonderland. He didn't have time to take his costume off and had to deliver the costumes dressed as the Grinch. Because there were lots of children around Dan did some pictures and went on some of the rides."
