This is the moment a man jumped into a pond to rescue a drowning woman in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Taizhou in Zhejiang Province on November 28 shows a woman falling into the pond while washing clothes.

A woman next to her notices and attempts to rescue her by flinging some clothes in her direction but to no avail.

A man named locally as Liu Daquan then jumps into the water and brings the drowning woman back to safety.

According to Liu, he heard someone shouting for help while brushing his teeth.

When he arrived at the site, the drowning woman was almost stationary in the water.

Thanks to Liu's actions, the woman was rescued and survived.

11月28日，浙江台州，一名村民在水塘边洗衣服时意外落水，同行洗衣服的人多次尝试施救无果，随后一名小伙跑过来跳入水中将人救起。救人小伙刘大权称，他刷牙的时候听到了呼救声，便立即扔下牙刷脸盆跑过去救人。赶到现场时，落水女子已经快不动了，水塘水很深，还好她没落下去，落下去就麻烦了。刘大权表示，救人的时候他没想太多，因为他会游泳，所以就想着先把人救起来。
