A naughty British shorthair held the door tightly to refuse to leave when being 'driven out' by its owner in northern China in this sweet viral moment.

Video filmed in the city of Taiyuan in Shanxi Province on November 20 shows a 1-year-old cat named Er Dan standing on its two hind legs and using one paw to hold the edge of the door tightly, while its owner Mr Wu attempting to drag it out of his flat.

Wu then carried Er Dan up and threw it out of the door, but Er Dan kept running back into the flat.

According to Wu, Er Dan was naughty when he was cleaning the flat so he pretended to drive it out of the home.

Wu said he was amused by the cat's reaction.
