Lucky tourists find a giant flower while walking with their guide in a forest in Indonesia's Agam Regency, Nagari Koto Rantang.

The footage shows the corpse flower, also known as amorphophallus titanum, in full bloom. It is is 4.39 meters tall.

The corpse flower, which is native to Indonesian rainforests, is rare to find: each bloom only lasts 24 to 36 hours.

Resident and guide Nofriandi Heru said it was found by the garden owner two weeks before the group visited the location.

"At first, gardeners thought it was just a stump left over from cleaning the garden, but it got taller and taller every day. It turned out to be a rare corpse flower," Heru said.

The corpse flower (amorphophallus titanum) in full bloom is found in a forest area in Agam Regency, Indonesia.

Footage filmed in the garden of the Koto Rantang locals, in West Sumatra Province today (4 November) shows a beautiful rare flower attracting tourists to see it inch from the spot.

Local man, Nofriandi Heru who is also a tour guide for the Palupuah forest area, said this rare flower was found by the garden owner two weeks ago.

"At first the gardeners thought it was just a stump left over from cleaning the garden, but everyday it got higher which turned out to be a rare corpse flower," Heru added.

The flower found this time reaches a height of 4.39 meters with a perfect blooming period for the next week.

The location of the discovery in Nagari Koto Rantang is indeed a habitat where the Amorphophallus titanum and Rafflesia Arnoldii flowers grow.
