These England fans were baffled by the omission of Marcus Rashford from England's starting XI against Senegal, which kicks off at 1900GMT on Sunday (December 4).

"That’s mind-blowing for me, says one female fan inside Al-Bayt Stadium in Qatar, where the game kicks off. "He’s a game changer. It makes no sense to me. Why you wouldn’t play him … I’ve no idea," she says.

A second fan says: "I think it’s a shame. He’s a great player, albeit a [Manchester] United player. He’s doing a fantastic job for England. As long as the [Manchester] City players are on there, we’re in for a good game!"

A third fan add: "The last performance, [Rashford] was good. I don’t understand why . If it gives someone else the change to score some goals, why not?
