An old man gathered outside Albert Einstein Israelite Hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with a framed poster to show his support for Pelé.

The Brazilian football legend was hospitalised after developing a respiratory infection on November 29, after his doctors said they wanted to re-evaluate his cancer treatment. It has been reported that the 82-year-old icon, who was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2021, is now undergoing palliative care.

The video features an interview with the fan who said:

"My name is Arlindo Marques, it is written here on the board I am a resident of the Pinheiros region in São Paulo, for me, Pelé represents and will forever represent the history of football, the essence of Football, the challenge, the magic, the conclusion, and the goal, Pelé brought together all these fantastic qualities of a perfect player, Pelé is almost unbelievable to say something like that, but in terms of football he reached perfection."
