Excavator used to rescue man trapped in muddy pond in China
An excavator was used to rescue a man trapped in a muddy pond in central China.
Video filmed in the city of Xianning in Hubei Province on December 5 shows a man named Cheng driving an excavator to approach a man trapped in a muddy pond.
Cheng was seen operating the excavator to dig the mud away from the trapped man and then letting the man hold on to the vehicle's arm to bring him back to safety.
According to reports, the man was the pond owner. He went into the pond to catch the fish left inside after draining the water, but accidentally got trapped in the mud.
A man named Cheng working nearby spotted the incident and tried to use his excavator to rescue the man.
After around half an hour, the man was saved successfully.
Mr Cheng provided the video.
